How to Crop Images Online

Upload or paste an image, drag the crop box over the part you want to keep, choose a ratio if you need one, then export the crop as JPG, PNG, or WebP. The image is decoded and cropped with the browser Canvas API.

Common crop ratios

1:1 square -- best for profile pictures, product thumbnails, app icons, and social avatars.

What changes after cropping

Pixels outside the crop are removed. Cropping is destructive in the exported file, so keep your original image if you may need it later.
Transparent areas need PNG or WebP. If you export a transparent PNG as JPG, transparent pixels become white.
Metadata may be removed. Browser canvas export usually strips EXIF and hidden metadata from the new file.
